So It Comes
…slowly, methodically…
Passports should be here by this time next week.
Once they arrive, it’s off to my federal MP’s office with all that final paperwork, so they may forward it in to CIC along with their letters supporting the immigration.
Then hurry up and wait for the final approval.
Then the permanent residency ID cards - essentially the Canadian equivalent to a green card.
Then….
Then home.
And home.
And home.
And all the other places I call home as well.
How much is still there? How much will be gone? It’s been a long time, and time stands still for nobody…. unless they live in a Leeds strip mall.
I’m both excited and scared.
