Perspective

I’ve tried to tell you, but you don’t quite seem to get it yet:

In the end, it all comes down to perspective

What you call “unfair to (me)”, I view as the space to finally discover who I am as an individual.

What you think of as “non-commitment”, I see as the freedom to explore what I want and need, and ways to make the distinction, in both life and relationships.

What some refer to as “problems”, I think of as opportunities to create my own accomplishments, without standing on your shoulders or being hand-held through every step.

When you say “not ready to be exclusive”, I hear there is still time for me to enjoy and appreciate the unique traits of a variety of people in my life.

M. Kathleen Casey said,
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

It is true what you say is not always what I wish to hear, but I am not suffering. The things you imagine damaging to me, instead are proving to be gifts in ways I cannot adequately explain. Just know that I am thankful for them each day, because they are helping (re-)build a better person.
