The Divorce Purge
True, we haven’t even filed yet, but after 16+ months of legal separation, might as well be.
The last four hours were spent systematically going through my home, gathering items directly associated with Tre (and a few other exes), and placing them in a large Sterilite tub destined for the dungeon in my basement. My wedding gown, our wedding bands, all the mementos from our honeymoon, the dried rose buds from our reception… All in a big blue box on the floor in my foyer.
I think that’s almost all of it… except the hard part…

I’m waiting for the kids to go to bed so I can break out my last bottle of wine and finish this. For the first time in a long time, my pillow will not be dry tonight.
